Hôtel Duc De St-Simon

Perfect location! The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great.

The location was exceptional. We were on the street side and wondered if our sleep would be interrupted but the double windows kept street noise out. It was a ten-minute walk to the Seine and within easy walking distance of the Rodin, Invalides and Maillol and to many delightful brasseries. We were able to walk all the way to Notre Dame and back, too. Our room was beautifully appointed and having a soaking tub and mini fridge were a wonderful touch. Breakfast in the cellar was delightful each morning. Imelda and Twosara (sp) went out of their way to accommodate us. Juan arranged for car service and restaurant reservations prior to our arrival. We will be back!

We booked a Superior Twin Room (two twin beds together to make a king which was very comfortable) at the Hôtel Duc De St-Simon. This is a GEM of a 4-star property in the 7th arrondissement. It’s a small boutique hotel in the classic old-world style located on a quiet street. The room was spacious, luxurious and tastefully decorated with functional antique furniture and fabric wallpaper with a modern bathroom (with A/C and elevator). It’s the perfect Parisian experience with an excellent location, near the action, but away from the noise. Several Metro and bus stops are within a short walking distance. If you enjoy walking, many Paris sites (Louvre, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Sainte-Chapelle, Luxembourg Gardens, Invalides, Musee d’Orsay) are all well within a 1.5 mile walk (which will help you burn off the calories from all of the delicious food you’ll be eating). An excellent buffet-style Breakfast is served in a beautifully decorated underground cave-like space with numerous choices of food. Hotel staff are VERY friendly, helpful, accommodating and easy to work with. I don’t think I’ll ever stay at another hotel when I’m back in Paris. I’m sorry that I didn’t discover this place during one of my previous trips – it’s a delightful place to return to.

This property definitely met and exceeded our expectations! It's a little expensive but what a perfect location and what a great property! The check in was flawless, even got our room a little earlier than expected. Location!!!! We wanted to be in Paris, but not in the middle of the packed tourist areas - this place was IT!! Easy walking to many restaurants, cafes, bars, small unique shops, and parks; while also within walking distance to all the typical Paris attractions! The breakfast was great! Buffet a little expensive at 18 or 19 euros, but 'just' an omelette for 6 or 8. Super cute bar and breakfast room - in a cave!!! The room was more spacious than I expected - the bathroom had a large, deep bathtub with a shower and there was plenty or shelf space for bathroom items. There were thick terry robes (nice touch) and the towels were large and luxurious. The bed was super comfy even if only a double or full. Windows that opened provided great breezes and views were also fabulous!

It was overcast and rainy in Paris during our stay, so we wound up having breakfast in the hotel each morning. This turned out to be one of our favorite things about the hotel -- a cozy nook with a large array of breakfast goodies plus coffee service. Our room was lovely and the location was within easy walking distance of places we wanted to visit.
